Whether you’re thinking of introducing Aussie of the Month to your school or have recently joined, we want to make the implementation of Aussie of the Month as easy as possible!

Any primary school in Australia can sign up to and present Aussie of the Month! The awards kit can be delivered to metro and regional schools upon registration by a member of school staff.
Schools can sign up to Aussie of the Month all year round. Once registered, the awards kit is mailed out to fulfil the school year based on awarding one recipient per month from February to November.
The awards kit is filled with everything you need to recognise your Aussie of the Month, including certificates, badges, bookmarks, Pilot Pen stationery gifts and info sheets on running the program.
The program is designed to recognise one student per month. This student may be selected by a committee from nominations made within your school, for their community contribution, active citizenship and demonstration of the Aussie of the Month values/your school values.

We encourage you to announce your Aussie of the Month at your regular assembly, once per month. It should be a surprise to the recipient and could be presented by the school principal, board member or an invited special guest such as a Local Hero! Make sure to notify the recipient’s family members and invite them to attend the presentation.
The free awards kit contains the items required to award one recipient per month for the school year. However, should you need to order additional certificates or badges, this may be possible for a small charge. Please contact us at info@aussieofthemonth.org.au
To ensure the quality and branding of the Aussie of the Month certificates are at a high standard, pdfs of the certificate aren’t provided for printing. To enquire about receiving professionally-printed certificates, please contact us at info@aussieofthemonth.org.au.
Once your school is signed up to Aussie of the Month, it will automatically roll over when a new school year begins, so you instantly receive your awards kit without needing to do anything! All we ask is that you keep us up to date with the contact details of your Aussie of the Month coordinator (should they change) and your school postal address.
If a different member of school staff is taking on the role of Aussie of the Month coordinator, please let us know via the Sign Up page. Here, you can select the option ‘Existing – update contact details’ and fill in the form with the updated details.
If your school decides to stop presenting the Aussie of the Month program and no longer requires the awards’ kit to be delivered, please unregister your school via the form here.
