What is active citizenship?
In its simplest form, active citizenship means getting involved in your community.
Looking out for and helping those that need support and also behaving in a way that promotes mutual respect, fairness, inclusion and a sense of belonging for all.

Whatever your school does to encourage active citizenship is fine; our goal for Aussie of the Month is simple. We seek to educate all young people about the importance of community participation and looking out for those who need support.
