Teachers are saying...

Aussie of the Month encourages our students to be active citizens, whilst supporting our humanities and social sciences curriculum.

Aussie of the Month is an integral part of our Positive Behaviour Support program.

Our students who receive the Aussie of the Month are always tremendously proud and it is recognised by all as a significant achievement.

Aussie of the Month is a hugely anticipated award at our assembly that evokes a great deal of pride within the student and their family.

Our students recognise the significance of the award and have an increased awareness of what qualities make an Aussie of the Month.

Having our students understand what global citizenship values are and enacting those values in the community is so important.

Students actively look out for positive behaviours and make a conscious effort to model such behaviours themselves.

We love the Aussie of the Month award at Regentville Public School. In a recent survey of our students, this was ranked the most valued of all our awards.

Our school captains appreciate the opportunity to be part of the selection committee and draw on their unique knowledge and understanding of the nominees. Our nomination process includes the Aussie of the Month four key values of Fair-go, Mateship, Respect and Inclusion.
