Celebrate your Aussie of the Month with messages from inspiring role models from the Australian of the Year Awards.
Australian of the Year Awards’ Alumni are cheering on primary school students recognised in Aussie of the Month, to help celebrate community contribution and active citizenship.
Considered the younger sibling to the Australian of the Year Awards, Aussie of the Month schools and students can hear from inspiring Australians recognised in the Local Hero category, when the Aussie of the Month is announced at the school’s presentation assembly.
To make the opportunity accessible to all schools in Australia, in-person and virtual online visits are available.
Through online video messages, Local Hero Alumni such as Stepping Stone Cafe founders, Hannah Costello and Vanessa Brettell; Australian Age of Dinosaurs Natural History Museum co-founder, David Elliott; and Turbans 4 Australia founder, Amar Singh.
